Keesha Scott (Valerie)

I grew up smack dab in the middle of the country in southern Indiana. My house stood on a cornfield, and even though my family didn't own the field, I could tell you everything that there is to know about corn. For instance, did you know that there is male and female corn? Weird.

Not only was I the coolest star that my grandmother's video camera had ever seen, but I sang everywhere, and I was the best little actress on the planet! J Once everyone knew that I could sing, I sang at daycare, summer camp, in lots of musicals, and as loud as I could in the shower. :) My mother raised me as a country girl. Some of our favorites to listen to in the car were Dolly Parton, The Judds (my first concert ever which included Clint Black), Clint Black, Keith Richards, Tammy Wynette (I got to see her in concert before she passed!) Trisha Yearwood (I love the She's in Love with the Boy song), and Allison Krause (she still gives me the chills). I also saw Willie Nelson in concert. He threw his bandana in the crowd, and I remember I thought that was the coolest thing. All my life I knew that I wanted to be a professional singer and actor. I sang any chance I could get, in any play, even the Star Spangled Banner at school for all the games. I performed in almost every high school musical. My mother made me finish school before I could leave home (geez...mothers!). Finally, after graduating from High School, I went on to Florida State University in attempts to be part of their Theatre and/or film School. After a year and a half there, I just knew that it wasn't where I wanted to be, and I wasn't doing what I felt that I was born to do! So, I moved to Los Angeles...the city of dreams...and broken dreams. I could not explain what I was getting myself into. It was tough! I was 18, didn't know a single soul, and my desire to sing, write songs, and act grew tremendously by the day! After a short struggle to find my music sound, I realized...hey, I need to go back to my roots. I landed a spot on National Television..singing!!! I went crazy! I also met my incredible producer, Pete, and he helped me achieve the right sound, and my heart's desire. After that, things just fell into place with my new agent and all of the auditioning. Life's not too bad!
